KAC Academy defeat Berekum Arsenal, Real Tamale United beat Yapei Warriors in Access Bank Division One League Zone One

Real Tamale United recorded another victory in Zone One of the Access Bank Division One League, beating Yapei Warriors 2-0 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium. The visitors held their own against their hosts in the first half, but RTU improved in the second half, scoring two goals in the final ten minutes to win the match. Jonas Manyina scored from the spot in the 82nd minute, and Samuel Lamptey added the second goal in the 88th minute. The win keeps Real Tamale United top of the table in Zone One A with 18 points from 8 league matches. They are hotly pursued by city rivals Tamale City, also on 18 points, but with a one-goal deficit.

Elsewhere, KAC Academy inflicted a 2-1 defeat on Berekum Arsenal at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in Dormaa. Stephen Korankye scored the opener in the 16th minute, and Addo Gerrad Zack added the second goal in the 63rd minute. Gideon Gyan scored a consolation for Berekum Arsenal with one minute left to end the match.

Meanwhile, Bolga All Stars throttled Sankara Nationals 5-2 at the Kurt E.S Okraku Sports Complex at Winkogo. Fatawu Adamu Maiga and Samed Bukari scored braces, and Dennis Nyaaba and Innocent Zoot Dong added to the tally. Sylvester Biyandal and Wilfred Chiralaga scored consolation goals for Sankara Nationals.
