Real Tamale United secured another victory in Zone One of the Access Bank Division One League, defeating Yapei Warriors 2-0 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium. The visitors managed to hold their own against their hosts in the first half, but RTU stepped up their game in the second half, scoring both goals in the final ten minutes to clinch the win. Jonas Manyina converted a penalty in the 82nd minute, and Samuel Lamptey added the second goal in the 88th minute. With this victory, Real Tamale United remains at the top of the table in Zone One A, accumulating 18 points from 8 league matches. They are closely followed by city rivals Tamale City, who also have 18 points but trail by one goal.
In another match, KAC Academy triumphed over Berekum Arsenal with a 2-1 scoreline at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in Dormaa. Stephen Korankye opened the scoring in the 16th minute, and Addo Gerrad Zack extended the lead with a goal in the 63rd minute. Gideon Gyan scored a late consolation goal for Berekum Arsenal just one minute before the match ended.
Additionally, Bolga All Stars dominated Sankara Nationals, winning 5-2 at the Kurt E.S. Okraku Sports Complex in Winkogo.
